On May 31, Chairman Wu Shengliang met with the new Colombian Ambassador to China, Mr. Sergio Cabrera, in Beijing.
Mr. Wu Shengliang introduced to Ambassador Cabrera the main business of China Three Gorges Corporation(CTG), its operation and management, as well as its participation in global green and low-carbon transformation and clean energy investment and development. In 2021, China Three Gorges International Limited (CTGI) set up CTG Latam in Colombia, taking Colombia as a pivot point to give full play to CTG's mature experience and technological advantages in the clean energy sector and actively participate in the development of clean energy projects in many countries in Latin America.
Ambassador Cabrera said that the Colombian government is speeding up the energy transition process and strongly supports the development of clean energy, so the investment of CTGI in Colombia is in line with the development needs of the Colombian green economy. The Ambassador highly appreciated that CTG Latam has established scholarships and provided vocational training for local people, in order to actively promote the development of local communities in Colombia.
